Lineworker Certification Program

Lineworker Certification Program (LCP, a component of the Power Delivery Program) – a powerful resource to apprentice and seasoned linemen, as well as being extremely beneficial to other employees in the power delivery industry. Companies from across the United States have enrolled their employees in the Lineworker Certification Program to train their electrical lineman, secretaries, supervisors, operators, planning engineers and many others. The program provides them with a comprehensive understanding of the power delivery system.  Topics included in the program pertain to the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of the system.

Flexible

Regardless of the work location of your employees, the Lineworker Certification Program will function as long as trainees and facilitators have access to a fax machine.

With travel expenses and administration eliminated, the Lineworker Certification Program has proven to significantly reduce training expenditures when compared with other programs.

Certifiable

This program exceeds the U.S. Department of Labor's requirement of 144 hours of academic training per year, which means that trainees can earn nationally recognized certification upon completion. OSHA 1910.269 is also covered in this program.

Modern Curriculum

The Lineworker Certification Program contains sections that are not available in any other program of its type, such as Crew Leadership, System Operation, System Automation, and others. A concentrated effort was made to ensure that the program meets the needs of today’s industry. The extensive use of graphics and photographs enhances the learning and interest of the trainee.

Program Options

This blended learning and training program allows a choice of the Instructor Led Option, which includes an annual 10 day training session at any one of Northwest Lineman College's campuses.  Or, the Distance Learning Option, which utilizes a 3 or 4 year format for continued training.

Permanent Training Records

Complete grade reports are maintained by Northwest Lineman College on all enrollees. Employers can request comprehensive Lineworker Certification Program training records at no additional cost.

Technical Assistance

Enrollees can contact qualified instructors with questions pertaining to the Lineworker Certification Program subject matter by phone M-F during normal business hours at no additional cost.
