Electrical Lineworker Program

Congratulations if you are considering a career in linework. You have selected one of the highest paying and exciting trades that exist. It is also a trade that has many career paths that provide many inspiring challenges along with significant financial rewards.

The Electrical Lineworker Program is provided for those individuals that wish to work as electrical lineworkers in the power delivery industry. This program provides the necessary skills needed to be highly productive on utility and construction company linecrews. The program is four months in length and focuses strongly on students learning the academic and field skills necessary to be successful as apprentice lineworkers. Safety is tightly woven into every aspect of the training.

NLC Graduates can expect to be some of the most competitive apprentice lineworker candidates in the country. Placement ranges from 85 to 95%, and starting pay for graduates ranges from $11 to $22 per hour. Once in the trade, graduates will work as apprentice lineworkers and can expect frequent pay increases over a three to four year period as they progress toward journeyman status. Journeyman linemen are regularly earning $50,000 to $85,000 per year. With overtime, it is not uncommon for a lot of linemen to make close to or over $100,000 per year.
