The Handline Magazine
The Handline is a publication of Northwest Lineman College created by the Northwest Lineman College staff. The Handline was first produced in 2002 as a means of informing readers of what's going on at NLC. Since then, it has expanded its scope, and now in addition to NLC news, provides a wide range of articles that are typically focused in the following areas:
- Safety
- What the future may hold
- Current events
- Training and education
- Engineering and operation
- History of the power delivery industry
Also included in the magazine, are research papers our Electrical Lineworker Students write as part of their education while at NLC. The magazine is intended to share our expertise with the industry in a manner that contributes to increasing knowledge and improving safety. The magazine is of interest to a wide range of energy related companies and employees including, construction, engineering and operation personnel. The Handline is very popular with readers and has been a repeat winner of the Northwest Public Power Associations Excellence in Communications award. It makes an effective forum for a wide range of advertisers and a variety of advertisement options exist at reasonable rates.
